Work History: Previously, Mr. Morris served with the Cherokee County Sheriff’s office from 1994 through 1999 and the Cherokee County School District Police Department from 1999 through 2019. He has been with the Muscogee County School District Police Department since 2019.
Career Accomplishments: Mr. Morris has held various positions and ranks during the span of his career and has spent 20 years in a supervisory role leading and guiding the operations of what will be his second start up school district police agency. He is a graduate of the Georgia Law Enforcement Command College and holds certifications in basic law enforcement, intermediate, advanced, supervision and managerial certificates, he also holds a general instructor certification from the Georgia Peace Officers Standards and Training Council (GPSTC). He also holds Basic SRO, Advanced SRO and Supervision certifications with the National Association of School Resource Officers (NASRO). He also completed the Chief Executive Training course and received the Guardian Leadership Award for completing the Guardian’s Path.
